SUPPORT TOPIC: @anevins closed this topic, https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/elementor-not-showing-main-menu/#post-11333084, this morning after I and then another person commented, writing, “Open a support topic”. He did not tell which of us he was referring to. Out comments were not identical. Why he closed that thread without further comment was not disclosed.

Here’s what I wrote on the subject of top menu not appearing in the Elementor page builder:

“Quite unusual not to see top header transparent menu in Elementor page builder. It does appear on the actual site, both desktop and mobile.

It was appearing for me, then I did some minor customization of the Astra Outdoor Adventure demo (free). Perhaps I changed a setting?

I agree that it should appear.”

I’ve done troubleshooting for everything I know and would very much like help or at least an explanation. I also hoep @anevins was including me in his directive to open a new support topic.

    With thanks,

    Paul

You’re encouraged to open a topic when you need help with something. Then you’re in the best visibility to get help with your problem; you’re subscribed to follow up replies and you’re highly visible to the plugin author and contributors.

If however you ask for support and you don’t open a topic, or if you use someone else’s support topic, you’re doing things wrong. Then that person gets notified of your replies and even with the best intentions you can easily derail their thread.

Even if you are 200% sure you are facing the same issue, please just open a new support topic instead of reviving someone else’s topic.

Okay, thank you for the explanation.

So I’ve done what you requested with this support topic, but I am confused as to why to you haven’t addressed my issue. That would be very much appreciated.

I’m not on the plugin support, I’m a forum moderator. The reason I responded was because you pinged me twice – using the @ notification system.

Hi. Are you still having this issue? If so, make sure you are using the latest versions of Elementor and Elementor Pro if you use that. You might also want to check with your theme developers in case this is theme related. If none of that pans out, could you post a link to a screenshot so we can see what you mean?

Oh my gosh. Thank you for your response, but I have for sure moved on. My question began last week in another thread. It took me days, but I eventually found the solution myself, so often what happens when dealing with slow or unresponsive support.

I do, however, appreciate those who come along and notice apparenty unresolved issues and jump in to offer help.

    With thanks,

    Paul
