Transposh translation plug in help!!

Hello wordpress users! I need some advice, i am a designer, not developer and update / manage a client’s website. That website uses a translation plug in dropdown called Transposh. This particular website has been running very slow and our server manager has been saying it is due to this plug in, it can no longer be updated. But then the developer of the site is saying that he does not see any issues with the plug in.

I just wanted to get another opinion if anyone else is using this transposh plug in and if it is slowing their site or causing any issues?
