Trasnferring files from one DB to another

I wanted to know how to transfer the files from my old WP database hosted on one domain onto another completely different domain. I transferred the same files to the new domain, but the posts doesn’t show up. Sorry, still a newbie, so I thought I’d ask. Thanks~
