Trending Topics / Tags

I’ve been looking for a plugin to add a ‘trending topics/tags’ section on my site. The plugins I’ve found so far, only take number or articles into account. What I’m after is a bar which shows let’s say 6 of the most popular tags/topics of that day, based on visits.

I’ve seen it on various websites, but I’ve not been able to work out how they’ve done this. Any ideas?
