• So, I’m not very good with technical web related things, which is why I’m using WordPress. But while updating my site, I saw the update button, and went for it, thinking it would work. I shouldn’t have, because it failed, and now when I try to access the admin section, I get this:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function _x() in /home/thekilla/public_html/wp-admin/menu.php on line 35

I know my web host has a backup, but is there anything I can do to fix this without having to bug him for it?

    Thanks

  • Sounds like some of your new files did not get updated. Download a new copy of 2.8 and ftp them to your site to overwrite the old ones. DO NOT upload the new “wp-content” folder as it will wipe out your theme, uploads and plugins.

    Then try it again.
