Tried to login WP-ADMIN but got “404 – PAGE NOT FOUND”

  • I just bought a new domain name from GoDaddy.com and had WordPress installed through hostgator.com. When I try to log onto mysite.com/wp-admin it send me to a hostgator.com page with “404 – PAGE NOT FOUND” in bold letters.

    I’ve tried everything from installing and reinstalling through the cpanel to remove the files from filezilla. Nothing seems to work! Can the WordPress gurus please help me out! Thanks!

  • I have heard that trying to configure your WordPress blog using GoDaddy related links can potentially be problematic. Hostgator allows you to purchase domain names directly through them.

    That sounds good, appreciate your input. Do you have a link from hostgator that offers domain purchases?
