    Support answered me via email. They are saying this is actually not coming from WP-Touch but from Jetpack’s mobile theme!

    Whatever complaints you have about WP-Touch – Jetpack’s mobile theme REALLY doesn’t work.

    Thanks for following up–the underlying challenge here was off-site caching that did not know to distinguish between mobile and desktop devices (CloudFlare).

    Although they can be useful for simple websites, they are not ideal if you’re going to do server-side enhancements such as using WPtouch for mobile handling–keeping the cache fully in your control is generally best.
