    Hey guys,

So I’m building a site for a friend. It’s a WooCommerce store. There are many physical items to purchase in her store. My friend also offers tarot readings.

Say, for example, someone adds a bunch of physical items to their cart as well as a tarot reading? I wanted to create some kind of an event so that when any of the 4 readings (within that category) have been identified as paid for, a pop-up window of her Calendly shows up so that the customer can instantly book their reading slot once the full transaction has been completed.

Would anyone know if there is a hook out there for this? I had a look here – https://developer.www.ads-software.com/reference/hooks/ – but wasn’t really sure what hook I was looking for. Not even sure if a hook is an answer. I’m just hoping to make this process as automated as possible and thought a pop-up could work. But not sure how to do it for all 4 readings which my friend offers.

Any tips or guidance would be awesome.

    Thank you,

    Kate

  • Hello,

This is a fairly complex development topic. I’m going to leave it open for a bit to see if anyone is able to chime in to help you out.

I can also recommend the WooCommerce Developer Resources Portal for resources on developing for WooCommerce.

You can also visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack.

I’m happy to wait and see if anyone else can suggest anything. In the meantime, I’ll check out the Facebook and slack groups.

If I find a solution there, I’ll let you guys know and I’ll close the thread.

    Hi @kateharris ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I have found a plugin that may be similar to what you are looking to implement on the site. It might not have an integration with Calendly however, could be something you can check out to see if it meets your needs:

    https://pluginrepublic.com/woocommerce-date-picker/

I do not have first-hand experience with this plugin however, reading through some of the features, it seems pretty close to what you may be looking for?

    Hope this helps ??

    Hey @roxannestoltz

Thank you for coming back to me.

I had a look at this plugin. It’s actually pretty cool.

The only pickle with it is that my friend needs for people to select a day and a time for their appointment.

I couldn’t see that this plugin has the option to select the time for the date unless I’m missing something.

I really appreciate you telling me about this plugin though. It really looks like a great option, it’s just missing the time option.

    Hi @kateharris

    Thanks for clarifying.

You may check the following plugins that would allow you to pick a time. Please note that these are third party plugins and have not been tested by us.

    https://www.commoninja.com/discover/wordpress/plugin/datetime-picker
    https://www.wpdesk.net/blog/time-picker-in-your-woocommerce-product-page/
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/date-time-picker-for-contact-form-7/
    https://codecanyon.net/search/time%20picker

I would recommend taking a look at our WooCommerce Bookings extension. You can read about its features here: https://woocommerce.com/documentation/plugins/woocommerce/woocommerce-extensions/woocommerce-bookings/

    * For any pre-sales questions related to this plugin, please create a ticket here. You’d need to log into your WooCommerce account before you can access that page, or create an account if you do not have one. From there, click on the tab “I have a question about a specific extension or theme I’d like to purchase.” Just so you know, in the WooCommerce.com marketplace we offer a 30-day refund policy so you can test the extension and make sure it works for you.

    Hay @margaretwporg

Thank you for coming back to me.

I had a look at these all and they all look fine, except I was hoping to use Calendly for this.

I did see the WooCommerce Bookings app. This does seem like the perfect solution. If it weren’t for the price tag, I’d probably be using that.

I have asked Calendly support to see if they know of a way around it.

Unless there’s a way where I could connect Calendly to one of these plugins. Is that a possibility at all?

    Thank you,

    Kate

    Hi @kateharris

    Thank you for your clarification.

I understand that you want to use Calendly in your store.

I have found the Embed Calendly plugin that helps you add Calendly scheduling pages to your WordPress website in an easy and simple way.

Please note that these are third-party plugins and have not been tested by us.

    Hope this helps!

    Hey @xue28

Thank you so much for the tip. I really appreciate your help with this. I just really want to help my friend as much as I can and you guys in all these different WordPress forums have been so incredibly helpful to me. So thank you, you are all such a lifeline to less knowledgeable folks like me!

This could be a really good idea.

I have asked in their support forum to see if anyone there knows of a solution.

    Thank you,

    Kate
