    Hi,

I recently noticed that my popups using a “trigger popup from a Link URL” are no longer working. I had followed the steps in this article: https://docs.wppopupmaker.com/article/399-trigger-click-open-trigger-a-popup-from-a-link-url

One of the links I applied the pop up trigger to are “Write a Review” in the top green bar next to the social icons.

I’ve deactivated all other plugins and even switched to a default theme – no luck.

I noticed this same issue on all my other sites as well (I’m a web developer).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Hi @astreck2 – thanks for writing in to us and we are sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue.

I viewed your site and I can confirm that the popup is not showing when I clicked a link.

Here are some things you can check real fast:

    • Do you have any cookies set up for your popup? If so, are you sure you haven’t already set that cookie on your browser? Remember that popup cookies will stop a popup from appearing again (expected behavior).
    • When you inspect the page’s source, is the popup’s HTML code in the footer (in a hidden state)? If not, it’s likely a condition issue: Conditions Introduction.

If none of those things help, please check out these troubleshooting guides:

Let us know how it goes.

    Thank you!

Thank you for your speedy reply.

? I do not have any cookies on the popup.
? Yes – I have the condition set to show on all pages.

? None of the other articles/troubleshooting guides fixed the issue.

However, after playing around and trying different random things I got it to work. I inserted the css class “popmake-yournumber” in advanced settings of the button – in the css class field (in Elementor widget settings). After I added the it as a class to the a href link it’s working again.

    Thanks!

    Hello @astreck2,

    That’s awesome!

Thanks for letting us know and glad to hear that you were able to sort that out.

By the way, if you have a moment then we would very much appreciate it if you could quickly rate the plugin, just to help us spread the word.

    Have a great day!

    Cheers
