Triggering Fediverse Profile Desc. & Image Update?

  • When updating a WordPress Author’s profile photo and author description – the changes do not reflect on the federated representation of profile pages (Mastodon & Pixelfed).

    • Do profiles only register themselves once, at the time of ActivityPub’s initial setup?
    • If profiles can be updated, is it a ‘wait and see’ process or is there a specific means by which WP Admins can trigger a profile update?

    There is no way to trigger an update on the remote server, at least I am not aware of one. Mastodon has a cache, that will be updated from time to time, so it will not only happen once!

    So this could cause some time.
