    Hello,
I’m wondering if there is a way to trigger a Foo Lightbox Gallery with a button? I want to have a button in the main page of the website that says “View gallery here”, and when the button is clicked, the lightbox would come up.
Is there any chance I could achieve this through html coding or Elementor button resources?

In case that’s not a possibility, alternative suggetions are very welcome.

    Thank you in advance.

  • Hi @junonedel,

Thanks for the question. I’m going to test this for you and will get back to you in the next day or so with an update.

    Hi @junonedel,

Would you please try the following method for opening the FooGallery gallery in FooBox lightbox Free? You’ll need to install the Free FooBox lightbox plugin.

Then refer to this page and the section titled: “Open a Hidden Gallery in FooBox”. Instead of a text link you can put the anchor link around an HTML button.

    https://fooplugins.com/documentation/foobox/getting-started/plain-text-links/

Another option is to try the same thing with an Elementor lightbox module. Use the gallery shortcode as the lightbox content and if all goes well it should open the lightbox and display the gallery after executing the shortcode. Note that you may have to pass a height and width to the Elementor lightbox.

Let me know how you get on.
