Site is running WPTE 6.1.1. WP Core, Plugins & Theme are all up-to-date, cache cleared, all the usual. Noticed in recent days that when attempting to edit a Trip (any trip), the Trip Settings section is not loading/showing options.

Have I perhaps overlooked a recent change in where to find these option for trips? Otherwise, it anyone else having the same trouble?

**Trying to paste a screenshot but not currently saving. The clarify, the ‘WP Travel Engine – Trip Settings’ section title appears, just nothing below it. The page shows the Tip Title, Body, Trip Settings (empty section), Yoast SEO, etc. I will keep trying to post a screenshot.

    Hello @jononoy,

Thank you for contacting WP Travel Engine team!

It might that you are using the Classic Editor for creating and editing trips.

I want to inform you that with the latest update (version 6.1.0), we have implemented a React-based codebase for the Trip Editor Settings, which requires interaction with the WordPress REST API. Unfortunately, the Classic Editor does not fully support the REST API, which is why you are unable to access the Trip Editor settings when using it.

Additionally, Block Editor is the default editor in WordPress, and future development efforts are focused on it. As WordPress continues evolving, the Block Editor will remain at the core of its development, while the Classic Editor may lose support in the future. So, we decided not to provide support for the classic editor anymore.

To resolve this issue, I recommend switching to the Gutenberg Block Editor, which is fully compatible with the new version of WP Travel Engine.

To use Gutenberg Block editor, you can simply deactivate the Classic Editor plugin. If you need to keep Classic Editor activated for other types of content then you can switch to the block editor just for the trips only as well. For this, please refer to this detailed guide – https://gutenberghub.com/how-to-switch-between-wordpress-classic-editor-and-gutenberg/.

I hope this helps! Please feel free to reach out if you need further assistance.

Thanks for the quick response…much appreciated!

And yep, that’s it, disabling the Classic Editor has done the trick. Now to get used to the Block Editor…or rather the Client has to get used to it!

    Cheers!
