Trojan Horse

  • I’ve used this plugin for years, and have been happy with it until now. They recently snuck a completely unrelated plugin, meant to upsell paid access to a block pattern library, inside their plugin, without even mentioning it on the plugin page.

    I’ve uninstalled, and will be using an alternate plugin for logging emails in WordPress going forward.

    I was wondering what would happen with this plugin after it got acquired last year, and now we know.

  • Hi @skyshab – Chris from Extendify here. I’m not associated with WP Mail Logging, but wanted to add some context.

    I believe that adding the Extendify library was unintentional by the developer when they were updating one of our other frameworks that is used in WP Mail Logging. We have taken steps on our end to try to ensure this doesn’t happen in the future with other plugins and have been in touch with the developer as well. However, I’m not sure when the next update will be.
