Trouble adding javascript (related to scrolling)

Going to warn you now, that script doesn’t work in all browsers. It doesn’t work in Firefox for starters.

Anyone with a mouse that has a middle mouse button that is clickable can already do what the script does anyway..

Middle click, drag (to move around the screen), standard behaviour for middle click if you have a mouse with middle click… ??

I just don’t want an animated scroller but instead the scrolling controlled by the user. Clicking the mouse scroller button allows the page to scroll on it’s own but one cannot click on the page and move it!

So are you saying THIS particular script will not work in all browsers or are you saying that because it is javascript it wouldn’t work on all browsers??

Just one reply would have been enough..

The above script does not work in Firefox. I’ve not tested anything else, but that page you linked above does not work for me, but i can guess what it’s suppose to do…

You can make a page scroll on it’s own, again using the mouse with the middle mouse button.

Let your users decide how they want to scroll etc… this really is something best left to visitor and their chosen browser, not the website.

Really sorry. I have absolutely no idea why there were multiple posts. I didn’t do that!

Umm..thanks for all the support t31os_. It’s just that my design demands something like that. I’ll try and get it working nonetheless. Maybe some script error or maybe I’m not pasting it right!
