Trouble Displaying Video Embeds in Category Page

  • I have a site which displays posts perfectly fine in my main page, but I’ve created a menu item based on a category (called Videos), which are nothing but embedded videos from vimeo.com. When I go to the Videos menu item page it displays nothing but the link, and not the embedded video. I’ve tried both the WordPress Embed feature as well as Viper’s Video Quick Tags. Neither seem to work. I’ve tried replacing both my archives.php and category.php with the contents of index.php, thinking that the category page uses one of those templates. That doesn’t work either. What the heck am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance! The site is here https://wadsworthsworld.com/saablog. Click on the Videos tab to see what I’m talking about.

    Figured it out! Needed to change the_excerpt to the_content in my loop.php in this code:

    <?php if ( is_archive() || is_search() ) : // Only display excerpts for archives and search. ?>
			<div class="entry-summary">
				<?php the_excerpt(); ?>
			</div><!-- .entry-summary -->

    I am having the same problem. But I am using the theme mistylook and don’t have a loop.php file. Any idea which other file it might be?
