Trouble getting embedded video to work HELP plz!!

I have been trying to get video from “you tube” to be embedded in my blog now for about a day and a half and I cannot believe that it will not work for me. I have tried to install and activate the 2 plugins that I was able to find:
1. https://www.rossgerbasi.com/
2. https://rane.hasitsown.com/blog/index.php?tag=youtube
and I could not get either to work. If anyone can help me with this I would be greatly appreciative. Oh btw all that I get when I paste the embedded link is a hollow box.
