Actually just updated WP to latest version, but I’m still having this problem from posting from the Dashboard.

I start a new post and when I’m done and hit “Publish” I get a new page that says “Your attempt to edit this post: “xxxx” has failed. Please try again” When I click the “try again” I’m sent back to the post listings where the post has been saved as a draft. When I click to edit it all the content, save the title, is gone. When I reenter the content and hit publish, I get this message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class services_json in /home/content/a/m/r/xxxxxxxx/html/blog2/wp-includes/class-json.php on line 115

(the xxxxxx’s are just to block my name here).

When I hit the back button on my browser, I’m brought back to the post listings and I can see the post is there. When I check my blog, the post had published.

    Any help? Thanks.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thanks. I deactivated and reactivated plugins and that seemed to fix everything. Thanks for the help and advice.
