Trouble switching to WP Featherlight

  • Hi there – thanks for the plugin!
    Have run into an issue after using it briefly and then trying the original plugin – the posts I had enabled for this plugin using the checkbox, are not working with the original plugin – despite the ‘disable lightbox’ checkbox not being checked.

    I can see the js and the css seem to be loaded on the post.

    I notice there is a custom field showing on those (previously enabled) posts when the original plugin is enabled: wp_featherlight_disable but it has no value.

    Other posts where the original plugin is working ok don’t have this custom field showing. I delete it but it comes back when post is updated.

    Not sure what to try next.

    data-featherlight=”image” is not present in the links of the images that won’t display in lightbox, so that is clearly the problem. Just not sure how to get that back.

    Any help appreciated!

    This plugin is a fork. So I’m not expecting any compatibility with the original one.

    The way we built it was to switch the checkbox functionality. I supposed would could put it in another option name or something on the next update to avoid this conflict.
