• I had a fairly long (22 pages, 16K words) document I had created in LibreOffice with headers, TOC and the whole bit, just wanted to bring it over into web format and publish as-is over a parallax image background. I tried exporting using .docx and Mammoth .docx plugin but it stripped out the header format numbers which was unacceptable. So I exported as HTML, I tried AWB for the parallax but it wouldn’t work on that. So then I found WPEngine had a parallax engine that used just HTML and CSS (my “theme” was Hello from Elementor but I wasn’t using the latter, just used the theme because it offered a very wide screen area). So I brought the file in as an HTML block (worked fine without parallax), then I tried copying the parallax HTML in with the block, and stuck the CSS in the screen in Hello that says “additional CSS”, got no parallax but the only thing I can see on the screen is the links. This seems to be taking way too long and is too complicated, and I don’t exactly see where I’m “doing anything wrong” so help!!!

So if I want parallax with perfect format conversion should I use a plugin for .odt (Docxpresso) or .docx (Mammoth) or something else (?) with AWB (does it matter which block is first in the chain?), or try to just use HTML with an HTML/CSS parallax, or am I somehow running out of memory? I’ll try anything that would work, but obviously either I haven’t found it yet or I’m making some systematic error…or is the theme the wrong one for this combination?…
