    hi Staff,
today I finally transferred my domain from Aruba to Hostinger.
I made some change like php to 7.4 and mamy plugins’ update arrive in my WP dashboard.
Yoast too. I made all updates and Yoast remained blocked. It disappeared from the plugins’s list and not in the server. The WP pulugins dashord reports (translate from italian): A WP update is not completed – retry the update now (linkable)
I try many times to click but nothing…
I can reinstall a backup but the last is on October 26th and I don’t like this way.
Can you suggest something? Is there a way to have again the plugin with all setting made?
Have I reinstal again your plugin? Do I lost all my work made in it and settings? Please help me as soon as possible.

    Regards,

    Andrea

We are sorry to hear that Yoast SEO is no longer appearing for you in the plugins list on your site dashboard after migrating your site to a new web host. If there’s no sign of the Yoast SEO plugin on your site, you can reinstall it.

Reinstalling the plugin won’t remove any existing SEO data that you put into the plugin before. If you have migrated the database from the old web host, all the SEO data should remain in there as well.

    Dear Khan,
    thanks for your reply!
I tried to reinstall the plugin but its failed!!
“Installazione fallita: La directory di destinazione esiste già.”
Installation failed: Destination directory already exists.

    Can you help me?

I’m terrified of losing all work done and all settings ??

We understand you are seeing “destination folder already exists” error during the plugin reinstallation. The error occurs when the relevant plugin already available on the server and as such, you cannot reinstall it.

So, you’ll need to manually reinstall the Yoast SEO plugin by using FTP. You can find the relevant guide here.

Note: you will not lose any SEO data that you put into the plugin before. All the SEO data will remain on the site as expected.

Have I to overwrite all the existing folder or only what I need?

Yes, you’ll need to override the existing files/folders when you’re attempting to upload the Yoast SEO plugin through FTP.
