Trouble updating & connecting to FTP

I’m trying to update my themes to fix a problem – but I can’t update anything as it’s having issues connecting to the FTP.
I’m using the passwords and username that I use to connect through Filezilla so I can’t see what I’m doing wrong.
I’ve read a couple of thread like this, but it doesn’t get resolved – Can Anyone help?
