    HI:

    We recently switched to the iCloud server, I checked the iCloud settings and confirmed those with Apple support:
    smtp.mail.me.com
    TLS (also tried SSL)
    587
    Authentication ON
    (email address and App password)

    I tried to send a test email and I got:” There was a problem while sending the test email. ”

    An issue was detected.

    This means your test email was unable to be sent.

    Typically this error is returned for one of the following reasons:

    • Plugin settings are incorrect (wrong SMTP settings, invalid Mailer configuration, etc).
    • Your web server is blocking the connection.
    • Your host is rejecting the connection.

    I checked with my hosting and there is no restriction or issue on their side.

    I would really appreciate if you can help me out to fix this issue.

    Hi, @tshirazi!

    Could you please share a full error log recorded when you send a test email from WP Mail SMTP > Tools? Here’s a screenshot for the option to get a full error log.

    This will give us an idea of what might be going on.
