Trouble with custom Meta Boxes

: This is my theme’s function.php. I am currently using multiple post-types and while I removed my attempts from the file before uploading, I have tried several tutorials to add a custom meta box to my books’ post-type. So far I have not had any luck. I am wondering If I ran into trouble because of the fact that I have more than one post-type? If anyone would be willing to help me out with a generalized example that would definitely help me get this projects moving along.
