Trouble with new settings tabs in admin interface

  • I am having trouble with the addition of new settings tabs in admin interface. What happens is that I install a new plug-in, which will include a step alluding to a new settings tab. When I look for the tab, there is none. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Is there something to look for in the code to make sure it is displaying correctly?

    I realized my post would make more sense with a specific example. I have installed yoast.com’s plugin “Google Analytics for WordPress”. The instructions indicate that a new admin tab should appear with the settings for this plugin. There is a screenshot on the plugin website:

    However, after I have installed the plugin, the tab does not appear. I cannot find it anywhere. It is really confusing because on the plugins page, it says the plugin is installed and active. Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

    I have the same problem when installing ‘some’ plugins on a site too. For Events Calendar and TS Custom Widgets both activate but neither has their ineterace menu added in WP admin. Meanwhile I tested the same plugins on a different site with the same WP version 2.7.1 and they activated and installed their interfaces fine.

    Back on the first site I tried another plogin ‘Calendar’ which activated and added its menu interface fine while the other 2 plugins didn’t!

    Confused.

    I’ve got the same problem. https://…/wp-admin/plugins.php?page=googleanalytics.php is blank and there admin interface is gone.

    Can anyone hlep ?

    i have the same problem with google analytics. just a blank page after clicking on the settings link.

    I also have the same problem – no options appear on the setup page after upgrading to latest Analytics plugin 2.9.3. Am using WordPress 2.6. Downgrading back to my old Analytics plugin 2.7 works.
