One of my authors (just one of many) has been having trouble posting things on my site. He has the WYSIWYG editor off, but whenever he uses the plain text post editor WP keeps stripping out extra tags, as well as not showing him the extra quicktags I’ve added.

For example, if he places php code between “

“, the code in the middle gets stripped, even thought It should be outputting it like code. WP also does not show him any of the tags (for example, I’m using a code syntax plugin which adds about 15 other quicktags, which all my other authors see except him). I’ve had him clear his cookies, try different browsers / computers, and I even setup anoter author account for him to give it a try on but with the same result.

Any ideas? I can’t for the life of me figure out what is wrong.

Absolutely positively the wysiwyg is disabled for him in his user profile page at the bottom? Because what you describe is happening to him is because the wysiwyg is NOT disabled for him.

no it is off, i’ve even checked it myself. When I checked his account it worked fine for me, so it has to be an issue on his side, but i’m not sure what it could be…
