trouble with query_posts on a page template

Hi, I’m using query_posts in a couple of custom page templates so that I can display posts from a single category on a page that’s included in my page navigation. I have subpages under these pages.

The problem is that query_posts seems to make wordpress not realize what page it’s on so my subpages don’t show up with my folding page widget. Can I tell wordpress somehow where these pages are in the page structure so that folding pages will work again?

Notice how the page listing doesn’t fold out to show the subpages under “for coaches.”
