Trouble with Responsive Container Height

Hi.

Working on building out a site with a container as a cover image, basically. Right now the image is draft #1, but I’m just trying to get this all set up.

When I test the site on different screens, the container block cuts off the top/bottom of the background image. Rather, I’d like it to have the background image width be 100% and then the height be relative to that width. Is there a way to accomplish this? Right now, I’m not having any luck.
