trouble with thumbnail crop tool – STILL

hello

I am using 3.5 with good space theme – all great but he crop thumbnail view is not ‘sticking’ meaning I can crop it, save it preview it but when I add the update back into the gallery the image stays the same (the default crop)

I am using wide images for the light box view but square postage stamps for the thumbnail view.

I read some forums and tried NOT making it a perfect square but no dice. The thumbnail view is correct in the preview pane but never updates in the gallery – any thoughts or a advice?
