    Hi,

I just updated the Elementor plugin to version 3.6.1, and it has crashed my website. It’s a nightmare. I have had to deactivate it, but of course, the website no longer looks the same as the design I spent a lot of time creating. Is it possible to restore to the previous edition of the plugin? Thank you.

    Hi,

it seems to be a huge problem affecting a lot of websites using Elementor.

What worked for me was the following:

Install WP Rollback [1], activate it and click on “Rollback” next to Elementor plugin. Set version to 3.5.6. That’s the latest version before 3.6 and it should work for you.

Afterwards you can deactivate/delete WP Rollback. Also make sure to disable automatic update for Elementor until the developers have checked and fixed this issue.

Thanks, Alex, for the information. It is good to know for future purposes. Unfortunately, I have had to ask my webmaster to restore the website to yesterday’s version. It seems that, even after rolling back or deactivating the plugin, it has impacted some of the fundamentals with some info having disappeared. Assuming they test these things before asking for people to update, I am not sure why things go awry like this. :-(((

Yes, I got a few calls, too. And as they all had problems with Elementor I’ve tried to restore to last main version and it worked. Otherwise backups are available as well. It’S always good to have backups. So at least your webmaster is doing a great work you can rely on. ??

It’s just very important to disable auto-updates for Elementor until they’ve released a fix for this issue.
