I upgraded two installations to version 2.0 yesterday. Only one small glitch and we were sailing. Well done development team.

However, I have noticed with one installation trouble creating links with the new Rich Text Editor (tinyMCE). Here’s the scoop.

    My site: https://www.mysite.com
    External site: https://www.externalsite.com

When I use the gui in the editor, it creates the following html code:

    <a href="https://www.mysite.com/wordpress/wp-admin/www.externalsite.com" target=_blank>foo bar</a>

    Of course it should be:

    <a href="https://www.externalsite.com" target="_blank">foo bar</a>

I can always go to the html code to fix it manually, but that sort of undermines the whole reason of having a WYSIWYG editor! ?? The weird thing is that on my other installation of WP2, this is not a problem. Anybody got any clues as to how I can track this down?

Thanks again to the development team for version 2. I didn’t lose any of my sanity in this upgrade and that’s good because there isn’t much left!
