Troubleshooting a new blog on my domain

Highly unlikely. I notice that https://blogs.jangworld.com/ is now working. What was the problem?

What happened is that I’ve 2 blogs. The 1st is https://blogs.jangworld.com/ and the 2nd is https://omnigens.jangworld.com/

After I’d reset my 1st blog’s plugins, I noticed that whenever I visited my 2nd blog or try to log into its wp-admin, I’ll encounter a blank page. same symptom with any web browser.

It sounds more like an .htaccess issue to me. Can you rename/delete the .htaccess file in the omnigens folder?

I’d looked @ the wp-admin folder but I can’t find the .htaccess file there. Is there anything I might ‘ve missed out?

Not wp-admin. In the root WP folder of the 2nd install for https://omnigens.jangworld.com/

I’d checked using Yahoo! web hosting control panel but I can’t find any .htaccess file/ folder in the folder.

https://jangworld.com/omnigens/ works just fine – which suggests that there’s something wrong with the sub-domain setup. Perhaps at Yahoo’s end. What site url did you use in Admin/Settings/General?

https://jangworld.com/omnigens, the strange thing is that when I tried to access https://jangworld.com/omnigens/wp-admin, I always get a blank screen for the past 24 hours.

I’m finding the site a little sluggish and also can’t access the admin login. Can you try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin?

the htaccess is usually hidden from sight. change your ftp settings to also permit viewing invisibles.

I’d already tried that for jangworld.com/omnigens but to no avail. jangworld.com/blog still working out.

I’d already logged a case with Yahoo via email to check on the subdomain setup, just in case.

Hi folks,

1. Downloaded & installed FileZilla.
2. Reset the plugins folder as advised by esmi.
3. Clear my web browsers’ cache & cookies & tried accessing jangworld.com/omnigens/wp-admin, still getting a blank screen within < 10 seconds.
4. No luck finding any .htaccess file in the root folder for jangworld.com/omnigens after enabling “force show hidden files”
5. Load time for jangworld.com/omnigens back to normal.

Anything I might ‘d missed out?
