I attempting to use TranslatePress with Caldera Forms, and Caldera to do an auto-responder in the appropriate language. It’s a very simple form with just the name, email address, subject and comments. The French conditional works just fine. But the English does not. This happens on several websites that I’ve tried this on.

Caldera documents that you’re able to use WordPress shortcode in the email notifications and auto-responders.

Any idea why the English (default) language will not process? It doesn’t matter what order you put the code in. If you use only language selection code and not both, the French still works fine, but the English does not.

I’ve tried all kinds of things, but can’t get the English to work. Any ideas?

This is the test code that is used:

    [trp_language language=”fr_CA”]

Bonne journée! Merci pour votre courriel.

    [/trp_language]

    [trp_language language=”en_CA”]

Good day! Thank you for your email.

    [/trp_language]

    [/trp_language]

Using WordPress 5.3.2, Caldera Forms 1.8.11, TranslatePress 1.6.8

    Hello,

Can you go to TranslatePress->General settings and enable the “Use a subdirectory for default language” option?

Let me know if this fixes the issue.

    With the best regards,
