So I generally test Late Betas and RC on some of my sites.

    Trunk updated to 3.7-alpha while moving the yet-to-be-released 3.6 to a branch…

How does that affect this plugin?

I tested deactivating the plugin and updating core.

Previously, this would update until hitting the full release then would be on the stable again. This time, it upgraded to 3.7-alpha.

Is there anyway to “update” to nightlies of the 3.6 branch only using this (or any other) plugin?

Development for 3.7 has started, and as trunk gives the latest version, you’ll now get 3.7 alpha. You could manually downgrade to 3.6RC2, but not with the plugin.

What about downgrading to 3.5.2? It is also not possible. The plugin install either 3.5.3 Alpha or 3.7 Alpha.

No way to go back to wither 3.5.2 Stable or 3.6 RC2 with the plugin?

Not that I know. Manually downgrading would be the way to go here.

I was more concerned with my sites that are still on 3.6-RC2… When 3.6 stable launches, how do I stay on that branch, how do I upgrade to 3.6-final without upgrading to 3.7-a?

Just disable the plugin and update when 3.6 comes out. You should get a regular update notice and be able to update as normal.

Yes, apparently, if there is no release available it will update to nightly, but if a release is available, you’ll get that. No problem then!
