Trying to activate Events Manager breaks my site

Is your WordPress version the latest one? If so, try re-installing it and also try deactivating all other plugins.

I had this same issue today. Then I get an Internal Server Error 500 when trying to load any wp-admin page. Additionally, I’m running WPML Plugin and any time I tried to load one of my translated pages: https://www.example.com (English – works fine) –> https://www.example.com/?lang=fr (french) it would throw the the same 500 error :/ Was able to fix my site following these directions:

But the Events Manager Plugin definitely is not compatible with what I’ve got going on.

WPML is semi-compatible with EM, but it shouldn’t break the site, just have issues with synced events. I’d try deactivating other plugins or trying the default wp theme to pinpoint the issue.

otherwise, you’d need to check your PHP logs to see what errors are being thrown, so we can have a clue as to what’s going wrong.
