Trying to add a property to the wp_nav_menu object

    thank you in advance for your help! i’m a fairly noob with wp, but i’ve been searching around trying to find a way to add a property to the nav_menu_object, giving it a setting/option of it being a global navigation menu (for multisite use, note i’ve seen the other ways, but i want something a bit more agnostic/elegant and tied to the object). is there an easy way to add this menu setting, or custom meta field? i’d also like to query for this property.
