Trying to defer JS, but GTmetrix says nope

Hi,
I’ve installed your plugin which I use in connection with autoptimize

I seem to get slow page speeds almost no matter what I do – I am definitely no expert in these kinds of things, but it seems that a big part of the slow load-time (right now approx 9 seconds) are my google adsense auto-ads which are loaded with JS.

I’ve tried both to defer and to async the JS on the site, both with little (no) effect on my GTmetrix scores.

Any ideas what might be wrong?
