trying to figure out what to call a feature

  • Somebody wants me to add a certain page to their website. What the page does is shows the name of the company and then fades to the home page. It’s basically a black page with the logo and name in whatever color. It holds for 5 seconds and then 3 second fades out and then in to the home page. What would I call that? I’ll figure out how to do it once I figure out what it is…unless you know how to, of course.

    I should also note that they want the home page to just be a photo that links to the real site with just a few lines of info below the photo. I realize that this seems basic but I am having a problem thinking back on how to do both of these things. I can build the site but this is so basic that I don’t know how to begin. It’s kinda embarrassing.
