Dan from Instinct has written an email today (11/21/08) talking about the new version of WP e-Commerce, though we still do not know if it fixes fundamental problems and if it has support for US and UK versions of PayPal Pro.

Dan complains in his email that “Recently some people have posted some quite negative posts about our beloved WP e-Commerce plugin. This is very frustrating and not based on any fact – not a day goes by where we are not programming and working hard ensuring the future of WP e-Commerce. So if you’ve got something to say make it positive… remember even criticism can be positive if communicated in a mature and friendly fashion.”

Many of us DO feel our concerns are based on fact, and maybe your lack of understanding about that is the basis of the problem. We have tired to communicate with you in a mature and friendly fashion, but you have not done likewise. Many of us tried to get responses from you via email, or by visiting the forum, but we have only been met with silence. Support is important, especially to those of us who have paid for your add-ons.

So Dan, there has been dead silence from your camp (except perhaps for the angry mufasa) for ages, but postings here seem to have gotten your attention. See, pigs and kiwis do fly! So that is a very positive result, and you should not condemn us for posting complaints here in desperation.

You say. “not a day goes by where we are not programming.” I would like to suggest, in a very positive way, that you also not let a day go by without answering pre-sales questions, support questions and improving documentation. Shopping carts are somewhat sophisticated by nature and support should not be out of the question to Instinct.
