I decided I want to get the slider in Customizr to work. I have been reading the web site – Themes & Company – that discusses how to put this thing on. I believe I have followed the instructions, but still no slider comes up.

I’ll bet I’m doing something stupid, but I ask people here to take a look.

And yes, I’m using the child theme for Customizr.

Looks like you’re using a very old version of Czr – 3.0.9

I’d suggest you update to latest (3.2.*) and see if that helps.

How can I do that without wrecking my child theme?

The purpose of a Child Theme is to prevent problems with local customization when the Theme is updated.

In this case, there will have been some changes and although Nic tries to maintain backward compatibility, it would be difficult to guarantee that any customization in your Child Theme will still work since 3.0.2.

I’d guess that maybe 80-90% would be safe and you’d have to focus on the last 10-20%.

Take a backup before you start. Give it a try to assess the problem, and restore backup if too damaged.

To continue to support you effectively, you need to be working on near to the latest release.
