Trying to login to the dashboard

  • I am trying to login to the WP dashboard.
    I go to https://localhost/WP-BFSN/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
    I enter my email address on the page where it says
    Please enter your username or email address.
    You will receive an email message with instructions on how to reset your password.
    I enter my email address but then get a message saying

    Error: the email could not be sent. Your site may not be correctly configured to send emails. Get support for resetting your password.
    My email software is working normally

    Sometimes I get from https://localhost/WP-BFSN/wp-admin/index.php
    Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.
    Can anyone please advise me what I should do?
