Trying to make a text layer persistent over only the first two slides.
-
I’m trying to make a text layer stay in place for the first two slides, then fade away when the third slide comes in. However, between the first two slides I use a very slow x10 fade transition. Also, the slider is set to autoplay.
I’ve tried both of the the following methods:
– Placing the same text layer on both slides.
Problem : The text layer on the first slide disappears at the start of the long fade transition, then the text layer on the second slide appears after the fade transition has completed. This leaves a large gap where the text is not visible.– Placing the text layer on an overlay slide and setting a hard delay on its fade out animation to coincide with the arrival of the third slide.
Problem : The overlay timer doesn’t reset after running through all the slides and returning to the first two (i.e. the text layer doesn’t reappear when the slideshow restarts). Also, if the uses skips through the slides using the arrow keys or other, the hard timer on the text layer is thrown out of sync.Could anyone give me some advice on how to make this work?
Thanks in advance.
