• Hey there. I’m making a site for work, and they want the entire site to just be a JPEG of the poster for the event we’re producing. Weirdly, I couldn’t figure out how to do it.

  • This is not the sort of thing that WordPress is used for.

    All you really need to do is to upload the image file in question to your root, and create an index file that displays that image.

    You might want to tell them that this is a really bad idea, however, because 1) most people find sites like this annoying, and 2) the entire purpose of a website is to get more information. A single image with no links or anything else is frustrating. There should be a contact page, at the very minimum.

    I concur with kjodle. If you just want to make a landing page then all you need is an index file and an image uploaded to the root folder.

    However, if you do intend to make a full website later for the event, then WordPress will serve this purpose perfectly in which you can also use a landing page.
