Trying to migrate to new server, default page is blank

  • I’m in the process of moving the wordpress site to a new server. The DNS pointer isn’t changed yet. I’ve been using my hosts file to test.

    I have the database setup and made updates to wp-config.php. Copied all files over. I can get into the wp-admin okay.

    Here’s where I am stuck. I am not able to get the home page to load, it comes up with a blank page. I also tried clearing out the .htaccess file. Tried both with the folder name and direct to index.php. Also tried to edit index.php and have the require statement also include ‘/blog/wp-blog-header.php’ instead of ‘/wp-blog-header.php’

    One thing, the wordpress site runs in the blog folder. Do I need to make a conf file in apache for it for the blog folder separately?
