  • Hello,

Are you using the latest versions EM and EM Pro (in case you have)? Could you also check that you’re using PHP 7.0 and above? and make sure that you at least have a WordPress . 4.9.0 or above?

Could you also perhaps try and disable all other plugins and only Activate Events Manager only (Activate Pro if you have), at same time can your try and change the theme to any twenty series and try again?

    He’s back

A user, non admin, reported “While logged in, I attempted to register for the Reception. I received a blank browser page with “Trying to perform an illegal action.”

    WP 5.1.1
    EM 5.9.5
    PHP 7.2

I too have been experiencing the “Trying to perform an illegal action” error in recent days and I have no idea why as I have not changed any plugins or settings. I did start using Litespeed Cache a few weeks ago so I do wonder if that might be having an effect even though everything was working until a few days ago? All users have full permission so I don’t think it’s an issue with User Role permissions – and these are anonymous event submissions. I am using the latest WP 5.2.2, the latest EM 5.9.5 and the latest PHP 7.3.6. Is there any way to fix this?
