I am trying to install two pdfs on my website. One is called Smoothie Menu March and the other is called Smoothie Menu Reverse March. Every time I click on “Smoothie Menu March”, I get an upload of “Smoothie Menu Reverse March”, even though while it is uploading it says it is uploading “Smoothie Menu March”. I now have three uploads of “Smoothie Menu Reverse March” and no copies of “Smoothie Menu March”.

Smoothie Menu March is 73MB so it’s not larger than the accepted size. How can I get the website to upload both menus? I have done this several times in the past and had no problems with it.

I am using WordPress version 3.5.1. My website is https://www.flavourshop.co.uk

  • First, try emptying any cacheing plugins you may be using, and empty your browser caches.

If that doesn’t solve it, have you checked your server using FTP to see if both PDFs appear in your uploads folder? If they do, you could try adding the link to the correct PDF manually to see if that works.

Otherwise, I would go back to the beginning by deleting all of the attempts from the Media Library, and check on the server and delete the files there if they still appear. Then I would upload the “problem” file first, link it to a post or page and test, then upload the second.

Thanks Jess. It started to give me error messages so I went back to the original programme, deleted most of the photos from one of the pages and re-saved it as a pdf. That seems to have finally done the trick. It reduced its size from 73MB to 31MB, so maybe that was the reason.
