Trying to work it out

We use Royal Mail Click & Drop and at first inspection AST seems to do exactly what we want which is automatically advise the customer of the tracking number.

However, the free version does not appear to do this.

I tried to de-cypher the jargon to understand what exactly the free version does that automates any process.

We all want plugins that make operational tasks easier but I just cannot see what the free version does in this regard.

Please advise.
