    Hi giraffe99,

    I hope you’re doing well :).

I’m unsure where the 404 error pops up, I just tried the plugin and I’m not really sure how you’ve configured it.

Whatever it could be, I believe this error lies with the way Download Monitor is handeling the rewrite rules flushing, which should actually be enqueued at the PHP shutdown, rather than just in the middle of running the script.
I’ll contact the plugin author about this issue. Thanks for reporting it!

In the meantime, could you try to see if this issue is resolved when taking the following steps:
    1. Go to wp-admin
    2. Go to Settings -> Permalinks
    3. Hit “Save Settings”

Let me know if that works ??

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Sybre,
thanks for your fast response and positive action. I appreciate it as this is a nice slimmed down plugin I hope to be able to use long-term.

The panacea of re-saving permalinks – the nearest thing to Asprin for WordPress!

As you suggested, saving permalinks after activating the plugin fixed the problem.

Thanks again for your help, and good luck with TSF.
    cheers,
    Martin

    That’s great to hear Martin!

I’m unsure whether to call this plugin slimmed down, but it will surely stay clean from annoyances :).

    Have a wonderful day!
