  • Hi,
I also don’t find the site-logo block in your sites html (though maybe you’ve removed it)
what is if you go to
    https://nintendista.news/wp-admin/customize.php
Can you set a favicon there? (Because this is where you set a favicon that is different than the image for your site-logo-block)

I am in no way an expert, but I would first log-out, delete the browsers cache, reopen wordpress, try the site-logo block again in a new page. save the page, look at the page in a different browser, delete the cache there once more and refresh the page. and if there still no site-logo, nor the setting-menu for the block, i’d re-install the theme…

    Good luck!

I’m using TT3, which has configuration through the block editor. The Site Logo block doesn’t allow selecting the image, which I believe is an issue ??

@xndmartins – let me be sure I understand the issues you’re having:

    – The Site Logo block is not providing you with the insertion tool in order to select an image from your media library or upload a new one
    – You aren’t seeing a way to add a Site Icon (favicon)

For the favicon issue, in a block theme like Twenty Twenty-Three, you can either upload one directly via FTP, or try a plugin.

For the manual route, there’s a guide that starts here:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/creating-a-favicon/#creating-a-favicon

For the plugin route, you can explore here:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/favicon/

Alternatively, you can reach the Customizer manually at https://nintendista.news/wp-admin/customize.php – as @progresstination suggested above. Clicking the Site Identity panel should allow you to access the Site Icon area. Could you provide a screenshot of what you see in that panel?

The Site Logo block doesn’t allow selecting the image, which I believe is an issue ??

This is what the Site Logo block should look like in the editor:

Editor beta Self hosted Test WordPress

You should be seeing a blue overlay in the square, along with a blue circle with an upload icon in it.

If you’re not seeing an option to upload, please test:

    – Is the issue present with all your plugins temporarily deactivated? You can use the Health Check plugin’s troubleshooting mode for this, which will not change your live site – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/
    – Is the issue present with the Twenty Twenty-Two theme? Again, you can use the Health Check plugin for this so your live site is unaffected

@xndmartins I just noticed that my colleague provided a video in another thread showing how the Site Logo can be used as Site Icon:

    https://d.pr/v/eORFhx

This option on the block only appears once you’ve selected an image for your Site Logo. Since you haven’t been able to select an image yet, that’s why the favicon/site icon option isn’t yet present.

It would be good to solve the Site Logo issue first, in this case. ?? Please let me know the results of your testing when you have a chance.

Thanks Kathryn, you were correct, it was an incompatibility with LiteSpeed Cache. When disabling the option to select the image came back (which solved the favicon too.

@xndmartins – great, I’m glad you found the culprit – thanks for letting me know. I’ll mark this thread as resolved but feel free to start a new one if you have other questions.
