    Hi,

I have turned off specific Taxonomie from appearing in the site-map by default, yet i want to allow only certain items from that Taxonomie to appear (there is huge amount of unwanted and only a few i need).

Turning on the “Allow search engines to show this ‘Taxonomie’ in search results?” on the selected ones don’t force them to appear in the site-map.

Is there a simple way out of it?

    Thank you.

  • Hi @0builder,

Unfortunately for your case, the setting under SEO > Search Appearance > Taxonomies is all or nothing. When “Show in search results?” is set to “No”, none of the taxonomy’s terms will appear in the sitemap.

An alternative to setting every term’s option to Yes or No individually is to add custom code to use the wpseo_robots filter. We have more details and code examples in the Yoast Metadata API developer docs.
