Turn off field validation

Hi all,

I have a question about the field validation. The contactform 7 Jquery date-picker conflicts with some Jquery page trasitions on my webpage. This causes the datepicker not to show up when the field is active, leaving the user to put the date in manually.

Of course users don’t always put the correct format in DD-MM-YYYY. I want to turn of the validation of the date picker field so users won’t get the error message that the date seems invalid. Is there a way to achieve this?
